New OS takes user experience to a new level, got a new look and seemed to be much better than its predecessors Vista.
Unlike Vista (which brought a new display layer and vastly improved on security along with some badly written applications and compatibility issues for many of the software’s after running successfully on XP), which left the users frustrated, this will not happen with Windows 7.
-If an application works with Vista it also work correctly with Windows 7 and even faster
-Notebooks get better battery life in Windows 7
-Windows 7 will be more reliable than Vista SP1 from first day
So unlike the transition from XP to Vista, the transition from Vista to 7 won't show any regressions; so nothing that used to work will stop working.
This time, Microsoft have tried to learn from its users through its Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) for e.g. Microsoft knows most of the users have between 5 and 15 windows open at any time although only one or two of them are actively active, with this consideration Microsoft tried to refined the user experience. Microsoft has streamlined and refined the user experience as a result unlike Vista's window memory manager which devotes the same amount of RAM to every window opened (no matter how many windows are open), it acts like every one of them is visible and full screen size, even if you had them minimized or in the background. Windows 7's window memory manager doesn't do that—only the visible windows use video resources now. That means you can actually run Windows 7 with 1GB of RAM—unlike Vista, where having anything less than 2GB is a call to trouble and this is just one of the example.
Other large improvements include –
New Taskbar: Text descriptions on the buttons are gone, in favor of big icons, which can be re-arranged at any time and mousing over an icon shows a set of window thumbnails.
All applications get thumbnails a step ahead of Vista for example IE8, for instance, has a thumbnail per tab (rather than per window).
Nowadays peeking at the desktop is particularly significant, because the desktop is now where gadgets live and sidebar occupies a big chunk of space and isn't really viable; thus Microsoft has scrapped the sidebar and placed gadgets onto the desktop itself.
New Applet design: Paint and WordPad have been refreshed in the style of Office 2007 and Calculator is more sophisticated.
With all above new User Interface will completely change the user experience and fires a new journey of computing.
Reviewing other important aspect of Windows 7 i.e. Security
Windows Solution Center: Microsoft is replacing Windows Security Center with a new utility called Windows Solution Center. In addition to monitoring Windows Firewall, Automatic Updating, virus and spy ware protection, Internet security settings, and User Account Control, Windows Solution Center will also monitor PC maintenance, backup, troubleshooting, Network Access Protection (NAP), and more.
In addition to above there will be improved display settings, games explorer, Aero themes, Wallpapers and Home Group Networking (new sharing resource)
There is much more to explore and I have a limitation to share everything so to know more just click below and download PDF file from Microsoft.

Further all enthusiasts have to hold their breath till end of 2009, when it is rumored to launch.
